One week that I have spent in Spain was an amazing experience for me. It was seminal and entertaining. My host family was perfect. They were educated, kind and welcoming people. They didn’t only made me feel home, they thought me many things and expanded my horizon. My host Clara, she speaks Spanish, English, French, German and Norwegian. While we were speaking, she thought me what does it mean in all other languages. We spoke even in French with her. She is one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. Also her parents were really good at languages. Her mother is Norwegian and she speaks many Scandinavian languages and English. Her father speaks English, Spanish, Italien and a bit French. During my time in their home, I’ve learnt many things in all of these languages. Not only about languages, we had many conversations about history, culture and religions. Their knowledge wasn’t only reason why I love them so much. They were really welcoming and they made me feel like I’m home. I’m really grateful. Not just my host family, I had great friends in that week. Especially my friends from Poland, I’m sure about that our friendship will last for a long time. I learned many things from many people as well from the places that we have seen. We have seen Elche, which is a small beautiful town and Orihuela. It was hometown of Miguel Hernandez who is a poet that writes about peace, hope and love. I was very impressed with his life story. Also in Elche, we have seen a place called “Las Palmeras”. Many centuries ago, during Andalusia time Muslims made agriculture within protection of palm trees. We have also visited beautiful churches whiches impressed me with their beautiful architecture. Short of a long one week , I had great time with great people . Irmak Zenginer |
I have recently returned from a journey that has greatly effected my life and personal development. It was a great week in Spain. Thanks to the Erasmus, my curiosity about other cultures is increased. When I turned back I realised that I want to know more about other cultures. My host family welcomed me at the airport. It was a beautiful moment. Despite the language barrier, my host mom tried to make sure that I was comfortable. My only regret is I couldn't eat too much and that made her a little bit worried! On monday I went school with Florence. She introduced me her friends and teachers. I attended economics, mathematics, physics and music lessons. The next day, all the erasmus students came and we met all of them. After school we went to eat something together. On wednesday we went to a historic church. While we are in church, we talked about our own religions and I learned about the beliefs of other countries. At the end of this day we all went to the Alicante Center. I had a great time and I will never forget these days. The next day we went Miguel Hernández' hometown. In the last day we made our presentations and then we all made graffiti together. It was a great week which I couldn't understand when it was over. Also my self-confident improved. I never thought I would be able to overcome some of the challenges on my own. It was a great opportunity for finding out that I actually like food I never thought I would eat and for going somewhere with the people I will never forget! Moreover while spending my time at home, I learned a lot of things. I watched local TV shows, ate different food and I met with the other family members. I participated their typical weekend or evening activities. So I gain a new family. On my last night in Spain, we had a dinner with all family. It was like we've known each other for a long time. We are still talking and I will always be in contact with them. It is really special to have a relationship between two family from Turkey to Spain. I will always be grateful to my dear host family.

Everyone has a dream in this life. Some of them dream about a new car, some of the dream about love and more. My dream was visiting another country and meeting more foreign people. Last summer I was doing searching about Spain and I said myself : ‘’ One day you should visit there!’’ Then I started a new year of school and learned that I was choosen for Erasmus project to go to Spain. It was the best coincidence in my life and I was so suprised and excited. I felt more excited when I heard the topic of the project. I had a chance to represent my culture and I am proud of it. I always wanted to show our folk songs and their special meanings to another countries. I made my dreams come true because of this project. We showed our literature, our ‘’aşıks’’ to another countries and I even played ‘’bağlama’’ for them. It was an honour for me.
And the other thing that I am feeling so thankful about is Spanish people’s hospitality. They were so kind, friendly and more... Especially I am so thankful for the family that hosted me in their house. They made me feel like I was in my house. The other perfect thing was all of them were interested in music like me. We sang songs together, they tought me some Spanish songs. We visited places, watched shows, ate so many delicious food, shared our cultures with each other and we lived like a ‘’family’’ together for 1 week. I am feeling like I have another family in Spain. I will never forget them and I will stay thankful everytime. I also met so many peoplewho were from another countries. All of them were so friendly and kind. I am feeling so lucky because I have so many friends from a lot of countries. We showed our traditional dances to each other, we sang songs, we took photos, we visited city centre and a lot of places together, we tried cultural food and more... To sum up I gained unforgettable memories and friends in that week.I am sure that I will keep in touch with them and I will never forget these special moments. Şevval Durmuş |
Hey there! My name is Ahmet Enis, I'm 16 and with the help of Erasmus + Project I caught the oportunity to go abroad for the first time in my life.
And where did I go? SPAIN!!! It's incredible how the country that I wanted from the beginning came up right in front of me like this. I guess I used all my luck at once. Anyway, now I’m going to tell you my experiences and observations about Spain… First of all, their city planning and instructed buildings were truly organized. I couldn't see any sign of skewed urbanization. Also their streets were extremely clean compared to our country. The drivers were always inclined to stop before students, so they can pass. People were hospital and warm. As an addition to these qualities, everyone seemed peaceful. Maybe that was just me, but I thought the population of elders was higher than teenagers. I noticed that especially when we took the bus with my host, Emili. We arrived to Spain one day earlier before the other countries, so I had the chance to attend their lessons in school for a day. Here are my thoughts about the school:
My host family was literally incredible. With their help, I had a great time observing and learning. Ahmet Enis Ballı |

The team was very professional so as the programme. I'd like to thank all the team for their great effort and unforgettable memories.

Our project visit to Alicante in February was very enjoyable. They welcomed us with hospitality. 1 week of activities made us happy. We have learned a lot about Alicante s geography climate and culture. Our friends have been very good to us. The location of the hotel we stayed in was good. I would like to thank our teacher friends in Spain.
